YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE ENTERED THE HOUSE.

There is one in every neighborhood. A house with planked windows, grown weeds, and a grim story. A murder, maybe a disappearance. And, of course, a group of kids fool enough to enter.

Inside, you found a dream. A house going on forever, each room an impossible view. Infinite spires of glass in a bedroom. A whole ocean in an upside down bathroom. Wonders like grains of sand. And the house seems to react to you, to your inner thoughts -and fears.

But something is amiss. A malevolent force seems to be chasing you. With each step the lights seem to dwindle, the house looks darker. You need to go out, now, but you are TRAPPED. The rooms never end and the exit is long lost. Only your wits and your courage can now take you out of here.

WILL YOU BE ABLE TO ESCAPE THE ENDLESS HOUSE?

------------------

A late entry to the One Page RPG Jam. This is my first attempt at game design; wasn't even sure I was gonna participate until I was inspired by the entry of a friend. As a result, it's kind of a kitchen sink experiment: the game's main conceit is taken from scary horror-fantasy animation  with an allegorical bent, such as Infinity Train, Monster House, The Halloween Tree and, of course, the original Dungeons & Dragons animated series! Mechanically I was mostly inspired by d20 and classic hexcrawls, and visually I've desired to create a pamphlet-RPG for a long time. I'm fascinated by the format and wanted to try my hand at it; the result is only yours to judge.
